It sounds like the spinner is not rotating properly--possibly a broken roll pin. Cost 25 cents at any hardware store. But you may need to by a "drift" or punch to remove the old one. Lesco 80lb spreader wont spread on A or B setting
Joined Aug 3, 2010. 10 Posts. Discussion Starter · #1 · Sep 7, 2021. Even with really small prill size stuff, nothing sieves through the holes when the dial is set to A or B, C seems to be the minimum which I can spread at. By the charts, I should be at A or A.5 for a bunch of stuff that lays down 1lb/1000, but it just doesnt work.

Not sure. Sold my Scottts spreader long ago. Have not used a Lesco in years. Just trying to help, Jeff. However, I suspect: you slide the round end into the bell crank round hole from the left, and pull it all the way through as far as it will go. Twist as needed. The flattened oval part acts as a stop and retainer, so no pin or cotter is needed.
